Based in Orākei, Tāmaki Makaurau, Matt has worked within the indigenous youth sector in New Zealand and Australia, developing his strategic and culture-change capability. He has also worked as a professional athlete (NRL) and high-level coach. His cultural inclusion expertise was further honed through his role as Multicultural and Indigenous Development Officer for Melbourne Storm Development Victorian Rugby League.
More recently, Matt has worked as a Whanau Ora facilitator and was a Director of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trustee Ltd.
