We were proud to co-host the AIB x AIC Pitch Night with the Asians in Business (AIB) community, bringing together talented students and Auckland’s SME business network for an evening of connection, opportunity and collaboration.

The event gave our students the unique opportunity to pitch themselves to a public audience of local businesses, showcasing their professional skills, project experience and career aspirations. Presenting in this environment helps students build confidence, communicate their value clearly, and gain exposure to real employers in a supportive but professional setting.

Beyond the pitches themselves, the evening created valuable space for meaningful networking over food, where students and employers could continue conversations, explore potential opportunities and build relationships.

We are already seeing great outcomes from the event, with five interviews scheduled so far and more conversations continuing. This highlights the power of bringing education and industry together in practical ways that support both student employability and business talent needs.

A big thank you to the team at AIB for their partnership, and to all the businesses who attended and engaged so openly with our students. Most importantly, congratulations to the students who presented your preparation, professionalism and courage to step forward and share your story made the evening a success.

We look forward to seeing the opportunities that grow from the connections made.
