Design
of learning material - We contract instructional
designers to create training materials for your company.
An instructional designer works together with a subject
matter expert at your company to ensure that the content
created is technically accurate. In turn it's the job
of the designer to ensure that the content is pedagogically
sound. Whether you are creating paper based training
materials or an e-learning product, the instructional
designer is the key person to ensure that the training
works. Typically instructional designers have a solid
background in education together with extensive classroom
experience.
| Conversion of learning material - We can convert
existing paper based material into e-learning modules.
We first assess whether the material is suitable for
conversion as this is not always the case. Instructional
designers prepare the material for conversion and produce
storyboards for the programmers and graphic designers.
Our systems analyst ensures that the Learning Management
System is suitably configured for your needs and that
there will be sufficient reporting of the learner's
achievements. Key responsibility for the conversion
lies with our programmers and graphic designers. Generally
all staff are involved in the testing of a product at
various stages of development. |

Learning Management Systems (LMS) - An LMS is a
programme which manages your e-learning content. It's
the system that allows users to access modules, keeps
a record of their progress, and stores the results of
their needs analysis test and/or assessments. A well designed
LMS is critical to the success of an e-learning project.
Future Skills has developed its own LMS which is included
as part of the service offered to our customers. There
are huge advantages in this. Firstly, there is no need
to pay the high subscription fees often charged by other
companies. Secondly, we can customize the LMS to suit the
needs of individual clients. Everything from the look
and feel of the programme to its functionality can be
altered to provide an optimal product.
