Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration
Training for 15 years and older

About the Programme
This training programme prepares people for entry into the air-conditioning and refrigeration industries. It will include training components from the NZQA National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Level 4, and is designed as a pre-apprenticeship training for people interested in entering this industry.

Future Skills has an engineering workshop so that students can gain practical experience while training. Students will complete five programme components: Engineering, Workshop Practice, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Foundation Skills, and First Aid. Students' knowledge and experience of the airconditioning and refrigeration industry will be broadened through regular field trips. Graduates will be able to enter the air-conditioning and refrigeration trade as apprentices and be ready to undertake further training at Levels 3 or 4. Work-ready students will be assisted to gain work experience during training. Upon completion of the training all students will be assisted with obtaining a job and/or accessing further training.
