Multi-media Computing & Office Technologies

Training for ages 18 years and over

About the Programme

  • This is a combined programme and runs both as a day and an evening course. Students are able to select an office focus, or a multi-media focus, or both. Students have the option of directing their own learning and to specialise in their areas of interest.
  • The programme provides people with the skills and knowledge to start a career in computing, business administration, clerical, multi-media, or web design.
  • To familiarise students with the tools of the modern workplace, training will include essential business computing applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and desktop publishing.
  • The Office Technology stream will also include training in office skills, typing, business administration, customer service skills, and communication skills.
  • The Multi-media stream will include more advanced training in website design, as well as image and audio editing. Programmes will include Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Microsoft FrontPage.
  • In addition to the vocational training offered, the students are assisted with their English, maths, foundation skills, and job search and job keeping skills.
  • Work-ready students will be assisted to gain work experience during training.
  • Upon completion of the training all students will be assisted with obtaining a job and/or accessing further training.
